Saturday is Almost Here!

In just a few short days we will see you all at WordCamp Rochester! We’re busy working on the last-minute details…and we wanted to share some information with you to make your WordCamp experience easier.

Time:

Registration opens at 8:00am. Opening remarks are at 8:30, so don’t be late!

Schedule:

The schedule is available online. You’ll be able to get 8 sessions including the keynote. So take a look at the schedule and plan your day so you won’t miss the sessions you want to hear. (Click here for the schedule.)

WordPress.TV:

All of our sessions are being recorded and will be available on wordpress.tv soon, so if you wanted to see a session again, or missed one, watch for our camp to be uploaded there!

Food:

Believe it or not, your $20 investment includes a continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and food and drink at the after party. Phenomenal, right?

After Party:

We are excited to have a private room at the Bill Grey’s Tap Room located at 4647 Lake Rd N, Brockport, NY 14420. In addition to our room, there are pool tables, darts, and a complete bar. First drink is on us, cash bar afterward.

Networking:

Be sure to make friends all day long. Bring business cards to exchange.  Follow each other on Twitter. Share a meal. Have a drink. WordPress is all about the community and how we can help and support one another.

Announcing Our Keynote Speaker: Bridget Willard

We are pleased to announce our Keynote Speaker, Bridget Willard. Bridget will kick off WordCamp Rochester with a presentation titled, “Building Community — One Conversation at a Time.”

About the Keynote Presentation

In the WordPress Community, the word “Community” gets thrown around quite a bit. But what does it really mean? How do you build a community? Who is relevant? How do you spend your time in a way that brings a return? What is a return? Communicating with people in person and online and building relationships is the key to personal brand awareness and more.
